Upcoming Fall 2024 Concert!
The Corona Symphony Conservatory's highly qualified staff offer instruction in Violin, Viola, Cello, and String Bass to students in grades K-12 of all skill levels. Our fun and engaging program continues to grow in order to meet the needs of the greater Corona area.
While the local schools teach band programs very well, strings are not covered to the same level. To help balance this, we introduced the Corona Symphony Conservatory. Immediately, the program garnered support from students and the community.
The Conservatory offers a complete curriculum for students of every level. Instruction may include small group lessons, music theory, a large performance ensemble, and eventual participation in our Corona Youth Symphony.
Our focus is on Classical literature. In an effort to make this literature accessible to even the most inexperienced musicians, we have orchestrated, arranged, and composed music to fit the Conservatory’s needs. We have developed a curriculum and structure suited to serve the hundreds of string instrument students who, often due to budgetary and other logistical concerns, are not currently served by public school music programs.
The Conservatory also serves as a bridge between young musicians, their parents, the community, and the Corona Symphony Orchestra. Our mission is to cultivate a program which both supports the arts in our community and provides students the benefits and experiences a music education has to offer. The Conservatory is actively teaching toward the objective of guiding young musicians, who began as students in our program, through becoming full-fledged professional members of the Corona Symphony Orchestra.
